The strip-mall standby favored by moms everywhere offers some stylish finds.

Cheerful fiesta ware, half-off towel sales, surprisingly cute bedding—in terms of home furnishings, Kohl's is a wallet-friendly retail jackpot. But unless you're a loyal tween clinging onto L.C.'s glory days by the seams of her sequined skirts popping up in the chain's junior department, scoring wearable finds isn't quite as easy.

Here, we break down your best bets for scoring music-festival worthy pieces at Kohl's; mix 'em with seasonal favorites from your other favorite shops for a spot-on ensemble.

Juniors Department

If you can stomach Avril L.-designed punk tutus and glittery tanks, the juniors department can occasionally pull through with an on-trend piece or two. On a recent visit, we eyed Paris oversized graphic tees and plenty of redeemable crop tops. Temper prints with skinny jeans, a belt, and a pair of simple flats.

Intimates

Although it's worthwhile to splurge on the good stuff, lingerie is pretty hard to mess up. Look for bandeau or strapless bras to layer with everything this summer. Tie on an oversized denim shirt and cinch at the waist, pair with high-waisted shorts or a skirt, or throw on a vintage vest.

Boys Jeans

Boys jeans are the absolute best for making cutoffs. If you have a butt, size up to "husky" fit. They're cheap, come in tons of cool washes, and last forever. You'll wear them more than you think. Counter the boyish fit by layering over a lace or floral body suit or swimsuit. Add simple, chic sneakers, and voila!, summer uniform.
