With shoulder bearing dresses and pretty prints, Sublet's fall 2010 collection looks like a sartorial pacifier that will slowly wean us off of summer’s effortless sundresses and swingy shorts.
The eco-friendly line, designed by BFFs Tara and Inessah, is also one of many labels set to have a Cher Horowitz moment with schoolgirl knee highs showcased in nearly every look. From grey thigh-highs at Cynthia Steffe to navy knee socks paired with punchy prints at Generra, legwear will veer toward Lolita next season.
While we may have to wait a few months to experiment with fall’s velvet trend and ladylike blouses, unpredictable transitional pre-spring weather presents the perfect time to get a leg up on the trend. For a head start, try these pieces, available now:
Tabio's Ribbon Knee Highs are embellished with pretty ribbon details. Pair with high-waisted shorts to sweeten the look, or try them with a little black dress and satchel bag, a la Alexa Chung.
Urban Outfitters' Pointelle Ruffle Socks are perfect for feminizing boyish oxfords and spectators (heart-shaped glasses and lollipop optional).

Yes knee high socks are very in right now, especially with the new show "Skins" they feature this look a whole lot. Its only a matter of time before this new trend takes over. Its a very easy to put togethr look, and it still has this some what sense of sexy with out being trashy or tasteful. I say Socks! Socks! and More socks bring them on!!!
