TINDERBOX Music Festival September 26!

Combining established and emerging female artists in Brooklyn, NY

This year marks the first year for the TINDERBOX Music Festival in New York! The festival, started by Alyson Greenfield, aims to create more space for women musicians by bringing together and promoting established and emerging female artists. The concert features 20 female artists across all musical genres, including Bitch, Jenny Owen Youngs, and Shilpa Ray and Her Happy Hookers.

TINDERBOX will be a day-long, end of the summer concert in Brooklyn, NY. Performances will start at 3:00p.m. on September 26, 2010 at Brooklyn’s Southpaw.  And continuing its dedication to the empowerment of women, TINDERBOX will donate 100% of the concert's proceeds to Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls (www.williemaerockcamp.org) and Girls Write Now (www.girlswritenow.com) – two organizations that work with young women to further develop self-respect, creativity, and critical thinking.
