SUPPLIES
· shoebox
· cheap speakers (can be found at Radio Shack, $15)
· construction paper ($3)
· 1/8 yard wire mesh/heavy tulle ($2 or less)
· your iPod
TOOLS
· glue
· permanent marker
· scissors or box cutter
TOTAL COST: $20
SKILL LEVEL: easy peasy
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Sketch out the front of the boombox on the top of the shoebox using the marker.
2. Cover the top of the shoebox with construction paper.
3. Use a mug to help draw the holes for the speakers.
4. Glue the wire mesh to the inside of the box lid, so that it covers the speaker holes.
5. Glue the construction paper hearts on top of the wire mesh.
6. Now the front of your boom box is complete!
7. Now all that’s left is to glue construction paper onto the sides of the box and poke a hole in the back of the box for the speaker cords to come out.
8. Place your speakers inside. Now you have one sexy iPod boom box with marginal sound quality.
9. Final step: Bump that shit!
