Jamie Ludwig Loves Michael Jackson’s Vision DVD Box

As a child of the '80s, my first experience with music was Michael Jackson’s Thriller album. According to legend (my mother), my sister and I would cry from our car seats as soon as we heard the voice of Vincent Price appear at the end of the record’s title track when it would come on the radio. Despite the tears, we grew to love the record. My first favorite song was “Beat It,” and my sister would only answer to the name of “Billie Jean” for about six months of her early life.

Fast forward a couple decades and, sadly, Michael Jackson is no longer with us, but his music lives on. With the release of Michael Jackson’s Vision (Epic/Legacy), for the first time ever, fans can own the complete collection of Jackson’s 40 (count ‘em) newly recolored and remastered music videos and short films, many of which, feature the directorial talents of film luminaries such as John Landis, John Singleton, Spike Lee, and Martin Scorsese.

As a whole, the collection shows how Jackson revolutionized the concept of the music video and set the bar for an art form that was just coming into public consciousness. All while continuing to create killer songs and executing dance moves that I can still only do in my dreams.

So if you’re looking for the perfect gift this holiday season, or are just a Jacko fanatic, this one is for you.

Michael Jackson's Vision comes out November 22. Pre-order it here.
