Veggies

Jordan Young Loves StillTasty.com

Have you ever opened your fridge only to ask yourself, “Should I still eat this?” Many of us grocery shop, throw things in the fridge or pantry—and then forget all about them. Thankfully, someone has created a website just for us.

StillTasty.com answers questions on food storage, expiration dates, and more so you know if your goods are still safe to eat and, perhaps more importantly, if they will taste okay. I especially love StillTasty for its detailed information on many different veggies. Growing up on a diet of ramen, macaroni and cheese, and fast food, I had no clue what to do with produce when I got out on my own. Now I know potatoes are best stored in a dark, cool place (not in a fridge) and tomatoes should be left out until they are ripe, then placed in a fridge. It also offers great information on how to store food in your freezer. Thanks to this site, I’m enjoying healthier, more colorfu—and more tasty—meals.
