The multi-talented Mr. Glover.

The multi-talented Mr. Glover.

Nicole Nalls Loves Donald Glover

No, really. Nicole Nalls loves Donald Glover. Why, you ask? Well, he possesses all of the traits that separate the really good comedians from the really great comedians. He balances physical comedy with smart word-play. He understands irony and the best way to use (not abuse) it. He’s a member of Derrick Comedy (I’ll forgive you if you click that link and LOL for so long you forget to come back here and finish reading). He’s on Community, one of the funniest shows on TV right now. His blog is highly readable. And his alter ego Childish Gambino is the best and funniest rapping non-rapper I’ve heard since Andy Samberg.

Glover (absolutely no relation to Danny) is genuinely hilarious. Although I was heartbroken that he didn’t show up to the Chicago premiere of his movie Mystery Team, the flick was chock-full of the kind of juvenile and solid humor that often goes unappreciated by the masses.

Although his quest to become the next Spiderman ended when Andrew Garfield was crowned, I believe he's at the start of a solid career. (Did I mention that aside from all of his obvious talents, Glover is also quite attractive?) Until he fulfills his dream (and those of his fans across the country) of starring as a superhero, I’m content with watching him on the small screen and during weekly re-watchings of my Mystery Team DVD.

Haven’t fallen under Glover’s spell just yet? Follow him @MrDonaldGlover and watch him on Community on NBC.

The Christmas episode, when Troy tells Jeff to "give him the Forest Whitaker eye," nearly had me in tears. Can't wait for season two!

I am a huge fan of all things Donald Glover. He is incredibly talented and sexy and I love that this article was written. But I feel like I need to point this out: In the article you call him a "rapping non-rapper" comparable to Andy Sandburg. That is the farthest from the truth. Childish Gambino's music might have started off as a little gimmicky but I assure you his latest albums have been all work, no play. One of the reason's he doesn't use his real name on his records is because he doesn't want people to associate his comedy with his music. His music is meant to be funny really, it's meant to be good. I think you should take a listen to Culdesac and appreciate his work as art and not just listen for the laughs. Much Love ~Peggy~
