Kelley Hecker Loves Curél Targeted Therapy Hand & Cuticle Cream

I’ve always had very sensitive skin, and it seems to have gotten worse over time. I also have an extremely sensitive nose—I had to trade perfumes and eau de toilettes for light body sprays after high school—so products with scents are usually no good. Sensitive skin + a sensitive nose = a difficult time finding a good moisturizer, something my poor, dry hands need badly. I’m either breaking out in an itchy rash or developing a migraine because the scent is too overpowering; sometimes both.

I eventually found some moisturizers that didn’t irritate my skin. Arbonne’s Intelligence line cream was okay, but it didn’t leave my hands all that soft, and the smell! I’ve been told I must have gotten a bad batch, but every bottle I’ve possessed had an icky odor. Zim’s Crack Creme’s Daytime Formula is a favorite of my mom’s, but does nothing for me. Bath & Body Work’s Glove Me Tender was in my bag for a while, and it too was so-so, and very greasy, leaving the magazines I read on the train full of smears. B&B’s Shea Cashmere is in my purse now. It works pretty well, doesn’t ruin my mags, and has a fairly light vanilla scent. Not something I want to use as my go-to, but when I’m out, it’s perfect.

I just needed something for daily use, something I could put on before bed. During a beauty product raid at VZ's headquarters, I spotted a bottle of Curél Targeted Therapy Hand & Cuticle Cream and thought I'd give it a shot. I tried it when I got home and was shocked: This stuff works! For me! It actually does absorb quickly; it actually is non-greasy; it actually does leave my hands super soft. I (gasp!) found a product that lives up to every claim on the bottle. It has a hint of fragrance, but if it doesn’t bother Miss Sensitivity (a.k.a. me) it’s pretty safe to say it won’t offend anyone else.

When I’m able to find a product that works for my ridiculous skin, I’m loyal to it. This Curél cream is a new, instant favorite.

So ... if any Curél people see this and, you know, want to give me a lifelong supply or something, I’d be cool with that.
