Better than jellies? These tan-and-brown brogues are definitely more versatile.

Have you ever had a pair of shoes you loved so much you wanted to wear them to bed? I have. When I was four years old, I wanted to sleep in the saddle shoes my mother bought me for my first day of preschool.
A few years later, at age 9, it was the pair of worker boots very similar to the ones Adam Sandler wore in both Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore (he was sort of my idol). At 11, I was obsessed with my jelly sandals because they were my first "heels"—if jellies count as heels. (In any case, they helped introduce the word "strut" to my vernacular.)
And while vacationing in Arizona over spring break last week, my official new loves are my tan and brown oxford lace-ups from Aldo. I put them on in the store, took one step, and knew it was all over. I gasped and said to myself, “I don’t think I can ever take them off!”
Unfortunately, I had to remove them at the time of purchase, and for security purposes at the airport while traveling back to Chicago. They're so versatile that I'm probably going to wear them pretty much all the time: with skinny jeans cuffed above the ankle; with knee high socks and skirts; with summer dresses; with shorts; with leggings; with my pajamas.
I’d even like to wear them in the shower. Who knows where these fantastic little shoes will take me. Or, even better, where I'll take them!
