Sarah Collins loves A Softer World

When I first followed the link on my friend's Facebook page it was nearing finals week. I really needed to study, but Joey Comeau and Emily Horne's webcomic A Softer World sucked me in instantly. I lost four hours of prime studying time that day, and countless more over the week. Comeau's dialogue is usually funny and poignant — illustrated with Horne's photos, the comic is more art object than Family Circus. When my friend told me that if you scroll over each comic, a fourth line of text appears, I knew my finals were a lost cause.
