I like an artist who can have fun with their craft and Andrew Salomone is definitely one of those artists. He says his artwork is "about the absurd ways that ideas are communicated through popular culture." One of his creations is an embroidered sweater for the tragic, but talented Amy Winehouse. It's not just any sweater — it features embroidery of all of her tattoos.
Salomone says the idea came about when he realized she often seemed to be missing her clothes. For her health, he created a sweater that showed off her ink without allowing her to catch a chill. He also made an art installation of Bill Cosby's head. The best part? The portrait was made of Jell-O shots. Good thing, he didn't go for the full body; those rainbow Cosby sweaters would require a lot of different flavors!
Check out his blog.
