Eleanor Whitney loves Lykke Li at All Points West

There must be something in the cold waters of Sweden that keeps the country churning out pop-perfect hits. By this time, arty songstress Lykke Li should be a household name for Venus Zine readers. She has had no lack of press attention with her sugary, electro-pop songs — and for good reason. Tracks such as “I’m Good, I’m Gone” and “Breaking It Up” are irresistibly catchy and reveal a darker, soul-searching side of pop. Her album Youth Novels (Atlantic) even appeared on many notable “Best of 2008” lists. Widely touted as being wise beyond her 23 years and known for memorable live performances, take in Lykke Li’s All Points West set to hear what all the fuss is all about.

Lykke Li performs at 7:35 p.m. on the Queen of the Valley Stage.
