The Chicago Cultural Center and Chicago International Film Festival have teamed up to offer free film screenings every Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM and each week features a film from a different country. My favorite of the films I've seen so far is Délice Paloma, a fun film from Moroccan director Nabil Ayouch. Madam Aldjeria is a resourceful con woman playing benefactress in Algeria. taking the beautiful and innocent Paloma under her wing. It's a controversial film tackling the issue of prostitution funded by the Algerian government. Of course, the film's popularity is helped by the lead actress and actor, who are great eye candy. I loved the soundtrack too — I still can't get the theme song out of my head. Je pense à toi Paloma!
