I've always had a strange interest in office supplies. As a child, I would thumb through the Office Max catalog and circle all the things I wanted, dreaming of the day that my life would require binders, Post-Its and mass quantities of pens. This fascination — um, obsession — reached its peak when I penned a song about my favorite brand of mechanical pencils in high school. Don't judge me.
Over time, my collection of Post-it notes has swelled, but above all else, pens have always been my thing. I get excited over a free pen from my doctor's office, and don't even get me started on the pleasure of a pen that comes in a case.
So when I stumbled across the perfect pen, I knew I could die happy. LePen by Marvy takes the cake when judged on both design and functionality. The water based smudge proof ink flows through the thin cylindrical body, and fine tip with ease and consistency. They come in a variety of colors, but I favor the classic black ink. A dozen of them arranged in a small vase on my desk brings me joy which undoubtedly exceeds that which flowers could ever bring.
