Lindsey Underwood loves The Uniform Project

One Girl. One Dress. The concept for The Uniform Project is that simple. Sheena Matheiken has pledged to wear one dress for a year to promote sustainable living, and show how far a little creativity can go.

Matheiken has seven identical dresses, custom made by Eliza Starbuck, and she can accessorize them in any way she pleases. From the addition of a simple necklace, to a remarkable reworking of the dress for a wedding, Matheiken's unique sense of style shines through each and everyday.

The website for The Uniform Project chronicles her daily outfits, allows people to donate accessories, and also to donate to the Akanksha Foundation, which is a grassroots organization working to revolutionize the education system in India. Check out the site to get some creative ideas to rework things you already have in your wardrobe!

This sounds like a nice project but Andrea Zittel has been doing it since 1991 and really deserves some credit here. http://www.pbs.org/art21/artists/zittel/card2.html
