Denise Gibson loves Christian Joy

Do you think that Karen O designs all those bejeweled costumes herself? With Ms. O being the creative genius she is, one could imagine that her outrageously beautiful stage duds could only come from her mind. That, or they’ve landed from the same super-funk mother-ship that George Clinton must have arrived on. Truth be told, the master-mind behind those fancy designs is New York based designer, Christian Joy. Not only does Joy have a knack for more artistic and sculptural fashion designs, but she boasts a line more on the ready-to-wear side. Joy’s Ready-to-wear collection surprisingly contrasts her costumes, which comprise of a heavy use of black and white, cotton fabrics, and clean lines. Joy still incorporates her sculptural flare, however, to create everyday-wear that is still very Karen O-worthy.
