I spend hours probing Etsy like a hawk. It’s just what I do. What can you expect from an eco-friendly fashion intern who undergoes never-ending pressure to find the latest and greatest fashion, but at the same time needs to appease her socially conscious heart? On one of my seemingly endless Etsy excursions I came across the designs of Liza Rietz, and I almost experienced a seizure from aesthetic pleasure overload. Not only are Rietz’s designs masterfully crafted, but the structure of her pieces are almost futuristic. Yet their soft simplicity makes them totally wearable and transcendant of the seasons. It gets better — all her designs are sustainable, produced locally, and made by hand in Portland, Oregon.
