Joelle Caputa loves Classic Hardware & Caia Koopman

Birds! Hearts! Tattoo art work! Jewelry! That was pretty much my reaction the first time I saw Classic Hardware pieces at a local boutique. I came home with a heart-shaped sterling silver ring surrounding a sparrow and heart painted in tattoo-style artwork on my finger (it was too awesome to not wear out the door) and immediately hunted down the company's Web site.

Thus, my shouting "vintage necklaces!, business card cases!, bracelets!, pins! and earrings!" ensued. Every piece is hand-crafted and there's even guest designers, like snow/skate/wakeboard artist Koopman, who paints such stunning characters you'll wish you were one of them.

Madonna, Paris, Neko Case, Roller Girls and characters on Nip/Tuck have already discovered these adorable trinkets. And while we mere normal folks may not be walking in their limelight, at least these so-adorable-they-deserve-to-be-in-a-jewelry-museum trinkets will make us feel like we are indeed worthy of the same attention.
