Maybe by now you have seen the ad for the “Snuggie,” a blanket with arms? Yeah, they may have their not-so-fancy commercial, but I love the far superior, Swanket, handmade by Philadelphia-resident Kristen Gregory. The creation of Swanket was motivated by Kristen’s desire to stay warm—and not go blind from holding a book this close—while reading in bed. Sure the Snuggie might come with a free booklight, but the Swanket comes in two sizes. And, unlike the garish (and limited) colors that the Snuggie has to offer, Swankets are available in beautiful print and textured fabrics and lined with “fuzzy warm fleece.” So ditch the generic Snuggie and become a Swanketeer!

I made a Snuggie for my publication. I thought I'd share. http://www.indy.com/posts/style-make-your-own-snuggie It's fun to personalize your own, especially when there are some truly hideous fleeces to choose from. I used a black-and-purple plaid with horses heads distributed throughout.

Wow, and I really didn't mean to post that four times! Sorry, kids!
