Kirsten Kilponen loves Handlebar Bar & Grill

Two of my favorite things, vegan food and cycling, have been married together at a little place called Handlebar Bar & Grill. This near-Wicker Park spot will satisfy your craving for a “Breakfast Burrito” in the morning or your taste for some “Savory Seitan Tortellini” at dinnertime. If you’re not a vegan, never fear! They boast a mean “Blackened Catfish Fillet” for you pescetarians, and for all you meat eaters out there wondering what their fake chicken tastes like, it tastes just like chicken! They also have primo parking spots right in front of the restaurant for bikes and every Monday is Messenger Monday. That means free fries and cheap beer for all! (With messenger I.D.) I personally think they should have Handlebar-stache Sundays where people with such delightful facial hair should get to eat for free.
