Like a slow-burning Pall Mall or a secret you just can't keep, the word about Daytrotter is getting out. Every day independent music's heaviest hitters — and those yet to be discovered — stop by Rock Island's Daytrotter Studio to lay down four of their favorite tracks live. Be they covers, singles, or material still unheard by public ears, the songs are then uploaded onto the Daytrotter Web site free for anyone with an internet connection.
With an impressive recording history including the likes of Andrew Bird, the Silent Years, Tim Fite, Spoon, and My Brightest Diamond, Daytrotter is a comprehensive chronicle of the past three years of rocknroll's independent streak. John Peel for the freegan set.

You can check out all of Daytrotter's sessions at their Web site.
