At Venus Zine, we know a thing or two about a good record review, and so too do the Canadians — go figure. Named after the Gordon Downie album, Cokemachineglow was founded by Scott Reid in 2002. Recognizing an abundance of shitty music, followed by snarky criticisms, CMG prides itself on reviews that are "friendly-in-a-complete-stranger-kind-of-way."
Featuring not one, but two record ratings — one from the critic, and one, the average rating from two separate critics scores — Cokemachineglow is one of the most pleasant, non-elitist music eZines out there.
