This is no secret to anyone who knows me: If I weren't a writer, I'd be an interior designer. Apartment Therapy is truly theraputic — I get a strange fix from seeing a thoughtful floor plan, a loft with exposed brick, or pre-war crown moulding. This Web site has subsections for the major American cities, so if you've ever wanted to cruise apartments in SoHo, Silver Lake, Jamaica Plain, or Wicker Park, look no further than Apartment Therapy's house tours.
