Emily Becker loves Guy Burwell

Portland, Oregon-based poster artist Guy Burwell makes intricate and compelling work in homage to musicians from Ani DiFranco to Yo La Tengo. His recent piece commemorating the Cure’s appearance at Sasquatch ’08 sold out almost immediately. Whether in color or black and white, Burwell’s style is immediately recognizable because of its angular portrayal of the human (or sometimes robot) form and the level of detail he adds to each work.
