Baseball's the American pastime, but a sturdy bat comes in handy off the field as well.
VenusZine's not fond of firearms, but every girl needs to feel secure in her house. For those late night "Oh, my God, what's that noise?" attacks, the heavy weight of a Louisville Slugger in your hand is more calming than warm milk.
Can't find that hammer? Pull out the bat and hammer away. A 33 inch stick of wood isn't as easy to handle, but it'll do in a pinch. Works for hanging pictures or tenderizing cuts of meat.
Or, you know, you could just go hit a few at a local batting cage. Maybe it's not as elegant as Pilates, but there's something special about the crack of the bat as it meets the ball.
