Folio Watch: Cynthia Yee

'Ostias' is a series that involves the act of drawing and painting as a confession for Cynthia Yee in Chihuahua, Mexico.
"Music has always been one of the most important themes I work with, I use lyrics from my favorite songs and give them a personal and new meaning," she said. "Instead of transalting them to Spanish [my first language], I make translations to a mysterious and unknown language on drawings."
Besides creating images, Yee and her boyfriend run 'Ediciones Menta' a printing label focused on experiments with music and art.
